Bottomless Sundays with Station Tavern

Sundays are all about the roast dinner, so when the Station Tavern invited me to try their new bottomless Sunday roasts, I was THERE!

There are two things that are bottomless in the Station Tavern roast – the first is bloody marys.

I have to admit that I had not had a bloody mary in a number of years, so I was so happy that we had a demonstration and masterclass with Absolut!

I had no idea you could add so many different garnishes to a bloody mary! We used Absolut Peppar vodka for them – it was very yummy.

After the masterclass, there was a bloody mary station set up for us to create our own drinks. It was honestly the best thing and I had so much fun creating my own!

I had mine with the smokey Tabasco sauce, some wholegrain mustard and a couple of gherkins.

Now what’s the second bottomless thing, I hear you say?

The menu has a variety of meats, and a vegetarian option as well, with cauliflower cheese, carrots, broccoli, roasties and cabbage.

I had the vegetarian wellington which was really good. I very much enjoyed the roasties – and the Yorkshires were so good I had a second one, filled with gravy!

Get your hands on your own bottomless Sunday roast for ‎£32!

You can find the Station Tavern at Unit 1, 2 Station Square, Cambridge CB1 2GA.

I was invited by the Station Tavern crew but as always my opinions are my own and are honest.

  2. That’s one of the things I miss most about living in the UK: Sundays in the pub with a Bloody Mary (or two) and a roast dinner. Almost physically pains me thinking about it.
