Brunch at Toast, Nottingham

Back before my sister graduated, we went up to Nottingham to see her in a dance show. I feel for her, as she’s an amazing tap dancer, but now she’s graduating and going into teacher training, it’ll probably be the last time she will be able to enjoy her dancing passion to this extent. It was an emotional weekend.

The day after the dance show, we popped over to Toast, a fab little brunch spot on the outskirts of Nottingham.

Waiting for everyone to turn up, I eyed up the baked goods – the doughnuts in particular looked AH-mazing!

Not one to say no to some avocado on toast, I went for the vegetarian brunch, with scrambled eggs and mushroom. The avocado was perfect; not “watered down” with anything (which a lot of places do). The whole family ate happily there; their short menu has an option of every palate.

And the lighting in the cafe is perfect for selfies!

Toast is a fantastic place to have a quiet brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. They have a little shop there as well, with handmade knickknacks.

Find Toast at 202 Derby Rd, Nottingham NG7 1NQ if you’re visiting on a Sunday, free roadside parking is available right opposite.

  1. I love how simplistic the name is. Congrats to your sister – I know all too well how hard a transition like that is but bravo to her for making responsible life choices. Sounds like she’s wise beyond her years! Those donuts almost made me bust through my laptop to try to grab one – they look SO GOOD!
