The Tamburlaine, Cambridge

Last week I was able to go to the launch party for Cambridge’s hottest new hotel – The Tamburlaine.

It’s been THE location on everyone’s lips, with photos of the rooms and bar circulating through the city. Needless to say, I was very excited!

On arrival, I teamed up with some of my favourite people and was taken on a tour of the hotel.

The rooms are GORGEOUS – especially the ones with balconies! Shame that Cambridge gave us a rainy, cold day when we looked around, but I can definitely see myself with a cup of coffee in the sun there, waiting for a hot guy to bring me some avocado toast…

The thing that makes The Tamburlaine so special is their attention to detail. From the specially-made tea sets, to the art on the walls, to the items placed around the rooms, you can see that so much thought has gone into making sure everything is perfect. And it really was.

My favourite detail? All the rooms have international electric sockets. Yup.

Just FYI, their toiletries are supplied by The White Company.

Downstairs, there’s a section of the hotel with bright and airy conference rooms, along with a gym.

And on the same floor, you can find the Library, which was my second favourite room. If you like to sit on amazingly stylish sofas whilst surrounded by (real!) antique books, this is the place for you.

Downstairs in the bar, the party was just getting started! I was driving so sadly I couldn’t try their mint juleps (my favourite cocktail!) but their juice mix was very nice too!

So my favourite room? The Garden Room. Hol-y mo-ly. This place is GORGEOUS.

Can you think of a better place to have afternoon tea? I can’t! And their mini cakes that I tried were so lovely – without being too sweet.

Again, the attention to detail with the ornaments and items in the room was spot on. If you come to visit, do spend some time looking around at all the things (they are very Instagrammable too!)

Back in the bar, the party was now in full swing, with these guys doing…uhm…I’m not sure what! But they were pretty funny! (Them: how many bloggers does it take to change a light bulb? Me: I don’t know, but we’d take a million photos of it first!)

These guys are the Wandering Hands and we are now their biggest fans. My favourite of their tunes: Gangnam Style.

The event was amazing, and the hotel is a dream. If you’re not up for staying the night, how about joining me for afternoon tea, a couple of cocktails, or maybe a lounge in the Library?

Find The Tamburlaine at 27-29 Station Rd, Cambridge CB12FB

The Tamburlaine kindly invited me to the party, but as always all opinions are my own.
