Veggie Burgers of Cambridge: Bill’s

When Bill’s had an offer on for free prosecco with two main meals, I thought it would be the perfect time for me to grab a friend and go try out the veggie burger. It does mean, however, that I was more than averagely tipsy through this meal.

But nevertheless I take my burger tasting duties seriously.

Bill’s veggie burger is actually the Halloumi Burger and comes with tomato hummus, sweet chilli sauce, roasted red peppers, pea shoots, red onion, garlic lemon mayo and a sesame bun.

They get a minus point from me for using halloumi and not a burger patty as that would make it a kind of sandwich instead of burger, but that’s just me being a dick. Also, when I’d had three glasses of bubbly, I cared much less about this detail.

The toppings in the burger were lovely and perfectly matched within the bun. I have a soft spot for chips in mini buckets as well. They keep the lower chips warm, OK???

Overall, this was a lovely “burger”, and at a great price too, at just over a tenner with the chips. No real complaints from me. If you’re in Cambridge and want to try the chains’ veggie burger offerings, this is a great one to try.

Have you had the Bill’s Halloumi Burger? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’ve recreated the Bills halloumi burger at home with the addition of a Cajun chicken fillet, but for ease I guess you could have a Cajun quorn fillet? As for chips in mini buckets I’m totally sold too!
